Default my blaster wont start

I have a 98 blaster and its been sitting for a couple of months. I went to go start it and it wouldn't start. I called up my yamaha dealer and the told me that I may need to clean my carb out. If that is the problem than how do I clean it out and with what? Thank you.

first off take off the float bowl and make sure its clean. check the main and pilot to make sure there is nothing clogging them. then like shav0 said use some carb cleaner to make sure there is no dirt or anything in it

if you explained it to the dealer and he told you to clean the carb then i would try that first. just get carb cleaner at a local dealer or auto shop. if you take off the intake boot clamps and pull the carb out and look at the bottom there is 4 screws. take them off and just pull the piece off. you will see the main jet ( a golden colored screw type thing with a hole in it. make sure that is not clogged. and there will be a white piece that you have to take off.when you take off that piece there is a shaft that it goes in. spray out that shaft also to make sure the pilot isnt clogged. its really not that hard. once you do it the first time from then on taking off your carb will be no prob.

yea or walmart lol
