On sport quads you might as well give it up on the parking break, if u do want it you have to CONSTANTLY adjust them.

Don't Listen to her. Adjust it. All ya do is loosen a jamb nut and spin the long bolt in a lil bit and tighten the jamb nut back up. Piece of cake takes like 30 seconds.

Yeah i agree the parking brake is worthless. But its not hard to adjust it. You just have to do it everytime your ride

bad idea for the tranny,,,,dont do that

honestly, the parking brakes are junk

If you do keep them in adjustment (adjusting them every ride just about) you will go through so many pads (the brakes will drag and wear super fast)

The best advice is to get rid of the whole assembly and get a blockoff plate.

do a search under 'brakes' in the yammy forum for more info

Yeah there is really no help for the P-brake. I think they just put them on there so they can say it has one. I have owned 5 sport ATV's (1 Honda and 4 Yamaha's) and the only one that ever worked was the 98 blaster. It was a totally differerent setup from what the new ones have though (old drum brakes). Just get a block off kit and figure out how you can live without it
