new z400 or keep my Warrior
#1
im kinda leaning toward getting a 400cc kit for my warrior, or selling it and using the money for a down payment on z400. Either way i would have to get a job. I was curious if anyone has ever ridden or has a 400 abla kit or any other kit and can tell me how it feels compared to the stock stuff.

It really depends on your size. I'm only 5ft 8in and 130lbs so the z was too high seated and suspension really stiff. I just didn't feel comfortable on my friends z, so I would never buy one. The warrior on the other hand is very low seated, and the suspension just right (was a little stiff at first for me, but the +2 a arms fixed that perfectly until I bought the ohlins). With my weight I can still beat a piped z on tight trails, but not on a straight drag (doubt if anyone will believe it, sad but true!!!). That kit will do wonders from alba, it just depends on what your comfortable on. I'll be getting the same kit once the engine gets tired on me. Don't listen to people who tell you to get the newest and most popular stuff, they're full of it, and it really comes down to what you fit best on and what suits your riding style. Tune that thing to mid and top end power, it'll do more than you think it will when properly tuned.

boxhead said it best and now let me throw my 2 cents in go with the 400 kit if your warrior is in decent shape the frame and all and i for one wasnt that all impressed with the 400z or a 400ex i just had the chance to get either but i like the rap best and im glad i got mine i love the power an i ride with 400s z and exs i have no prob at all keeping up with them or passing but as boxhead said no in a straight out drag you cant keep up with a 400 z or 400 ex but they dont leave you enuff to brag about it but in the trails the 350 cant be beat its a great motor so keep her and i take for granted shes paid for so hey you cant beat that no payments dump all that extra cash in her an go out an blow the guys rideing 400s minds lol

dude if you want to make payments for years get the z400.Just take about a $1000 and dump into your warrior and it'll be sweet,it will go and do everything a z400 will do.That $1000 is alot cheaper than say $3000-$4000 you'll be paying after trade in.
