I can't wait...I'm in Virginia, so anyone with any info on the arrival on the east please let me know. If anybody in MD, PA, WV, or Carolinas gets their Raptor, I'd like to know, I'm being told now no later than next Tuesday. Just misses my 3 day weekend. oh well. I better not hear of anyone riding on either one of my Raptors Heads will be rollin...B

 

Hey 99blue ***** before you call us stupid mechanics, You better think twice,cause we are going to be working on your raptor, when it comes in for service. I hope the mec that works on your rips around like hell on pavement

 

I talked to a dealer in Laurel, MS, today, he said he'd have one (presold) in by next wednesday. One a month until November, then two a month thru Jan., then he did'nt know. $6870 out the door. His first three were blue, next three would be white/black. Maybe by January, if nobody else comes out with anything, I'll really really have to consider forkin the money out...

Before you start with the childish name calling why dont you stop and think about what I said. I was refering to a post that said he saw some fat *** mechanic ripping down the street on a brand new raptor. Well if that was my quad I would be pissed.

Second I am not buying a raptor and no I dont take my quad in for service I do it myself so the dealer doesnt rip me off. Not all mech are bad I know of one good one where I live but most of the time it is some teenager that is suppose to be a shop assistant in the summer that i see tearing a quad apart at the local dealers because the mech is busy.

I guess maybe you were that fat *** mech ripping down the street and that is why you are so defensive. Not all mechanics are stupid but some are and since you start off as calling my Mr. 99blue ***** I guess you fall into that stupid catagory.

 

It's true the Raptor's are here in AZ! The dealer here said that Yamaha is shiping each dealer 1 or 2 now and continuing over the next 3 to 4 months. He also said that the bike they put together last night was awesome. On pavement he couldn't keep the front-end down and didn't have enought room to get it out of 2nd, normally they can get to 3rd on the Banshee's.

Also looks like Yamaha blew it on the production color allocation, the 1st ones are mostly blue, but the dealer has orders for mostly B&W!

The wait is killing me, based on this I'm looking at mid-Oct for mine

 

I agree...vmaxer....I too may have talked in a way that is to offend some mechanics. What I would like to say is that Personally I really don't care if a mechanic or someone at the dealership rides my Raptor or even "runs-it-a-little hard", but I believe what some people are scared of is someone at the dealership taking it home or for an extended test not on the grounds of the dealership.

 

I just found out Action cycle,J&J motors and Andrews got i think 1 in each.

Gary660R, you might check DOHM cycle in charleston next time your aroun...I know here in Beckley, they are here sitting in the showroom right now (one for display this week)....if Bub's Cycle has one, DOHMs should have one now or VERY soon.

 

On my way to work Sat. evening I saw a very dirty Raptor on a trailer with some other quads. They were heading home from the Badlands I would guess.
