Best exhuast for a YZF 450

Default Best exhuast for a YZF 450

My friend just bought this bike and knows nothing about quads. he wants exhuast for it and I only know 2-strokes. who has the hp gains for a full system. and what kind of gains will he be getting Thanks..

All depends on what he does and how he rides. Requisite for the yfz is to do the cam mod, remove lid, and add ron woods intake.
As far as pipes go...

For MX: TC

For Dunes: ESR or Jardine

For all around: Sparks or Duncan

Keep in mind though, all of these are loud.

He is a beginner. he will mostly dune ride. He does want want to mod it as he gets to know the bike and how to ride. money is not a issue for him.

What is the best Pipe system to get for the 05 YFZ 450, the GYT or FMF. Does anyone for a fact the pro's and Con's of both?Text

Ok thanks but I got 5 opionions, noise is not a issue. can someone tell me if there is a diff between the 5 choices? witch one will work the best for the long run in mild mods.

I think it's dirt wheels that just did a huge pipe test for the YFZ. Go check it out. To be honest it looked to me like they are all in the same ballpark with horsepower within 1hp of each other and torque in the same range. That said I've been really happy with my Alba set up and it's alot cheaper then most.
