Default Need help for a worthy cause

I have been to busy lately to work on this, but now i have a little more time. A lot of guys are familiar with kermit sand dunes. The kermit sand dunes are between midland/odessa and new mexico. There are 1000's of acres to ride on. It is free. There are only a few covered tables in the unloading/camping area. Many 1000's enjoy riding there yearly. Earlier this year my group found out the hard way that if you have a accident you are basicly on your own. In case of a emergency the sherrif department and the kermit volenteer fire department will respond. The only DRAWBACK is there is no rescue vehicle for them to use. So if you can not ride back out you end up with a care flight helicopter ride!! The volenteer EMS guys will show up and you are your group will have to help them get to the injured person by loaning them your quads or letting ride on back. Neither way is a good solution. There is not any funding availible for the volenteer/ems to purchase a vehicle. They need a yamaha rhino or a polaris 6x6. I started a effort earlier this year to aquire a suitiblequad for them. The initial effort raised around 500 dollars of a 8000 dollar goal. I had planned to panhandle at the aledo races this year but due to weather that never happened. So i am trying to revive the effort to see this thru. I set up a paypal account for this. The account is at paypal and listed under the name of donateatv@msn.com. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I would like to reach this goal and purchase the atv for kermit this year. I also would like to expand this and do things for other places in need in the future at different areas and in different states whereever the need is needed. This is a effort to show that atvers care and do respond when things are needed. A lot of media tyoes like to portray us in a negative way. This would put a good spin on that. To me it does not matter if you give a dollar or a hundred dollars. ANY amount is appreciated. The dollars will add up and your donation may be the one to see the project thru. You never know when a friend or loved one may need this service. It would be a shame if you ever needed it and it was not there or someone you know needed it.

Thanks,

Mark Siegmund
