which skat-traks on your Raptor?
#1
just wondering. which skat-traks are you running on your Raptor? I have an 04' with Extremes. I wanted to switch to the Haulers, but was told by Skat-trak that I needed to use the Extremes because of the weight of the bike, was told that a Raptor with Haulers would destroy the tires...... the reason for this is that I am running the ITP C-series wheels with skat-trak Mohawks on the front and Extremes on the rear.... the front end sits about 3+ inches higher in the front, would prefer to keep the front on the sand and I feel a larger tire in the rear would help.... let me know what you think and are using.
thanks

I was using 20" 8 paddle in rear (haulers) and 20" stock tires in front, just ordered 22" 10 paddle extreme haulers for rear and i am keeping 20" in front. I am slightly modded as well.

i run a 21x11x8 extreme hauler in 10 paddle on the rear and 21x7x10 smooth buff on the front and i like my setup pretty well! i wouldnt mind finding a 9 paddle ultra light for the rear to try out though!

22" x 11" x 8" 7 paddles on a .125 wheel....killer for racing the hills...13/46 gears ....to me the 10 paddle is way to much bite off the line and your motor works harder to keep pushing all that sand even as you build r.p.m....the 8 paddle IMO is a much better paddle...The 7 paddle is a bit slower off the line but catches up real quick and almost skips over the sand instaed of pushing thru it...JMO

i run 20x10x10 10 paddles haulers extremes, and gbc dune treckers up front like my set up very well, my extreme grip!. also i ruined a normal set of haulers up at the cinders, but any one who runs haulers at the cinders, will ruin them. i also have a dropped tooth up front

thanks guys.... taking off my 20" and throwing some 22" Extremes on instead, that shold even things out a bit. supposedly, I can take my 20"s off and just use the 22" on the same rims, gonna go with the 8 paddles. thanks for all the input on this.

1Badraptor...... going to go with a similar setup, just spent some time at Fullerton Sand (the guy knows his stuff), got everything set up, lets see if I can keep fat azz on the seat and the front tires on the sand this year.... I am the wheelie king in my group.... the problem is that it's NEVER intentional, couldn't ride a wheelie on purpose if I tried, got tired of my kids asking "cool - dad, can you show me how to do that"? I just tell them, NO, your not supposed to wheelie up the dunes kids"lol between the smaller razors up front, 22x11x8 in the rear and the +4 swingarm, I should be safe - better be safer, I am broke now!!!
have a good, fun, AND safe weekend everybody!!
