Here's the deal. My bike is over heating. I take a ride back to my practice track real slow-like in first gear, just to warm her up. It's about 200 yards or so. Before I get a lap down, it starts to break up and spit, specifically when I let off the gas. But then I can feel the heat from the exhaust, and it starts to break up on acceleration. When I come to a stop, it just shuts down.

Is this an overheating problem? I don't have my key/switch warning lights anymore, so there's no indicator for temperature. I'm pretty sure it's not jetting, the plug is alright and this problem only occurred within my last two rides.

Has anyone had this problem and seen it go away with a thermostat replacement? Or maybe an impeller or impeller shaft?

check to see if you have water in your oil. It sounds like a head gasket. Does it run good when it's cold?

It runs ok when it's cold. I will check the oil when I change it.
