Default need jetting help asap

hey guys im home for the weekend from college and i bought a new exhaust for my warrior. The exhaust is a dg xcellerator and i bought a dyno jet kit for it also. The warrior is bored .040 and has a wiseco 10.25-1 piston, no airbox lid and a k&n. I was doing the stage 2 kit and put my needle in,4th clip, put a 148 main jet in, and then backed the fuel mixture screw out 2 1/2 turns.all as described in my instructions. Problem is that it does the same thing as before. The exhaust gets very hot. I thought maybe it is still lean so i went ahead and put the 150 main jet in, it still gets hot and the pipe is chromed and ive already turned the first bend to a bronze so i need to figure this out quick. The plug doesnt really show a tan or black color. I would like to figure this out by sunday before i leave so replies will be greatly appreciated. thanks

What color is the plug showing, If you are getting a grey/white color then you need to step up the jetting a little bit. When you ride it, how does it act?

the plug doesnt really show a color really its just the gray of metal since i brushed it off but i rode it for about 15 min and its still that color. It doesnt act bad it goes through the rpms fine and i cant really compare it to what it should be like w/ my mods bc its beens pretty bad. Thats why i bought the new pipe & jet kit. It pulls the front wheels about 6" off of the ground if im idling along and punch it, i dunno if it should do more than it does w/ my mods or not. P.S. thanks for the quick reply

In order to get the proper color on the plug you need to hold it wide open for a few moments. Let it rev right out and hold it there. it works best if you put a slight load on the motor, like going up a hill or somthing. Once you hold it wide open for a while pull in the clutch, hit the kill, and stop. Then pull the plug and check it's color.

ok i checked the plug again and the top of the plug is mostly tan. I also noticed that the flat bottom of the plug, the circle where the threads end is kind of wet. I also noticed that where there pipe meets the can in the back there was some small specs of black suit that had blew out the pipe and were on the underside of my rear fender. ????
