Anyone changed stock carbs to alky? Want to try it. Can anyone help?

 

You burn much more alcohol than gas..... Most of the time you will need to run bigger carb's just to get enough alky to the motor..... Stock Banshee carb's are 26mm... My Banshee is on alcohol and I run 36mm flat slide carb's with power jets....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Stock carbs for? In general you need to get rather large main jets, sometimes drilled custom to flow enough fuel. Larger pilots are also needed. Other than that Im not too sure, just figured I would chime in since no one else has.

 

Alky will burn ya up real quick if your to lean!!!!!

If its for a Raptor you will probably have to drill out the main jets, and do some carb mods for more flow. I have not done it, but i remember reading about someone who modded the raptor carbs, actually if i remember correctly quite a few people modded them.

 

36's for a 350 banshee? If so you're carbs are too big. Do a set of 34s and you'll be much happier. DYNO PROVEN

 

I have a set of 30mm for gas... I also have a set of 34mm that have been converted to alky carb's.... The 34's suck compared to the 36's.... Now maybe if I had one of those liberal California dyno's I could get some hp#'s like Trinity gets LOL........

 

Lets say you go from gas carbs to alky carbs...what kind of gains HP wise will you notice??
