Banshees are ok but there are already like 3 or 4 of them down here already, plus i heard that you'll have to get the top end done every 3 months and it rquires alot of work to keep um running. I just want something fast that i can slap a few mods on and don't have to worry about 3 months from now just to get it built back up to ride it.i want something that'll last withouut me paying out more money to keep it running than i did to buy it.

No, your info on banshees is very, very wrong. My cousin's banshee is going into it's 4th year on the same piston, rings, and engine that it came off the factory floor with.

yea, why does everyone think 2 strokes have to be rebuilt every damn second??
I dunno? However, in my repair manual for my 250 it tells me I have to go through this cycle of break in procedures that approximates to 100 hours of riding time. Then it says the piston/and or rings should be replaced every ten hours of use! I thought the purpose of breaking in a motor was to get things like the rings to "seat" properly????

It sounds like you have little or no experience with quads and motors and your getting a high performance quad, which in my opinion is more than you can probably handle, handed to you. If I were you I wouldn't be too picky. Either get a job or set your goals a little lower. Most people in these forums started out small and WORKED their way up to a higher performance quad. You're looking to start at the top and get an unreasonable deal to boot. There are always jobs if you get out and look. Nobody is going to come looking for you to work for them.
Think about the Kawi or Suzuki 400. They are a better all-around sport quad.

Thanx for the help! I have driven a yfz before considering my friend has one and I did pretty good on it.I think he's still in this forum is name is roosta.Anyway I skipped a gear but it was ok. I just liked the rush that I got from riding it. Also the information on the banshees i got from my friends and they all around hate two strokes because they say all this work ya gotta get done and the boys around that own banshees say nearly the same thing they just ave the problem in the engine. They say they have to get them done every certain amount of time.I finally got a job helping my dad out at a construction site. I make nearly 250 a week or that's what he said. Now I can help pay offf that bill.Everything is going my way.
