Best gearing for a raptor?

Default Best gearing for a raptor?

my friend has a raptor and he is adding trinity pipes and a K&n jet kit and he wants to be able to beat his brothers 450r will he need to change the gearing on it?

I dont think so. It should be pretty close but he should get it rejetted and intall a K&N Filter and remove the baffle lid 2.

yea the kit comes with jets and the filter but what do you think of the trinity pipes or any one else had any experience with them?

Their bomb pipes. go to dirtwheels.com online and check out when they did a test of what was some of the pipes for the raptor. Trinity was like 2nd or 3rd out of 10 big companys. the one thing they might be a few pounds heavier than after market pipes but they sure make up for it. check it out

yea i read about that shootout i recommended to my friend because it seemed to be the best built pipe and gave great power gains

I WOULD GO WITH A WEB CAM! BUT THEIRS MANY DIFF GRINDS TO THEM SO BE SPECIFIC OF WHERE YOU WANT THE *****. MID, TOP RANGE EXCT. OR WITH A HOTCAM2

I fhe really wanted to change the gearing ...I would try the 13/42....13/40 is stock.....the 13/42 will give him a better bottom end and faster thru the gears...he will lose a little top end however.....I would check into the Curtis Sparks X-6 pipe or the CT Racing pipe.

My friend's 450r has a tooth smaller in the front then stock, i can usually stay even with him until 5th then i pull away, i run 13/40.
