If it's fouling plugs, bad jetting. Low compression is due to worn pistons/and or rings.

Does it kind of spin after you kick it over? Is it real easy to kick the motor over? if you answered yes to both you need a top end. If you answered yes to one you need a top end. Get new pistons like Weisco and rings. Bore out your sleeves to fit your pistons and start from scratch. It cost around 40 bux a jug so around 80 for the bores. You could get a good deal for piston kits from anywhere online. Do the work your self and save more money for more parts.

Dependant on what you want to do it could cost you anywhere from 300 to 10000. 300.oo for the top end. Bore's , Pistons & rings, wrist pin needle bearings, gaskets & new antifreeze. This is if you do your own wrenching.
Shop around for all you performance up grades. welded balanced stock crank any where betwen 500-800 or more if namebrand shop does it with hipo parts.
Port & polish anywhere from 45.00 to 300. Man I could go on but this is making me rethink how much I spent on my Alky....Thats just the beginning. If your rich, Just buy a trinity Cheetah. Thats a nice upgrade!!!!!

Rebuild it. Piston kit with everything you need is about 150-200 and then when you take your jugs to bore also take your head and have them mill off .030 off this will bump your compression up about 30 psi from original compression.
