Default PLEASE HELP ME!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well the problem is that I have a cylinder not firing on my shee. Here is what I have done, I took the top end apart and the rings were fine and everything checked out, next I checked for air leaks, found a nice big tear in my Carb Manifold, replaced it and went ahead and installed larger carbs at the same time. Problem solved right, nope put everything back together did another compression test and 60 on right 30-40 on left. Cylinder does fire when you are on throttle. But my next step is to look for more air leaks.

HELP HELP HELP

With compression that low, it sounds more like your piston/rings are shot. Usually with an air leak, the bike will still start but it runs quite erratically, and I don't think compression would drop that low. If you're sure that the rings are good, than just kep looking for leaks, or maybe a hole in your cylinder/head/ maybe even the cases?

On a Banshee you remove both spark plugs. Then insert the tip of a compression gauge into the spark plug hole. Hold the throttle wide open and kick it over a few times until the gauge stops at the highest reading..

How are the reeds? If they are not sealing you won't have much compression
