I'm getting a 98' shee for $800 US, runs great, it's been used max 200 hours, brand new engine build. Is this a great deal/good for a first quad? (I've been rideing for awhile now, sence I last was hear actually. just about everyday from a griz, rappy, and also the yfz450) So any comments, I'd like to have, thanks all.

 

800 bucks? For a 98? Sorry, but something isnt right here. You are being taken for a ride, and I'll bet that there is a lot more wrong with the quad than the seller may be letting on.

Unless you are buying online, then its probably a straight up scam and you wont even ever see a bike for your money.

 

I've already seen it dude, heard it start up, saw him ride it around. the guys a close friend of the family. So I'm pretty sure, it shouldn't be a scam[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

 

I did a hop, skip and a jump over to KBB and wholesale it points to $2185.00

He must be a real close friend to let it go for that price or it could be he is independently wealthy and doesn't need the money but good luck with your banshee but still I would look at this with a jaudis eye.

 

Compression check, look at the filter, peer at the carbs, etc. Do a lot of good looking around. For that price I would be more than suspcious.

Unless he has no idea what it is worth, or as chet said, doesnt care to lose money on it since he has plenty.

He has 3 other quads, I asked him why he was selling it for so cheap, he said it's because he has an 03 shee waiting for him, he just needs the room, and the money to fix the 03' up. I checked everything with my father, it's in pretty much brand new condition, all I need to do really is get a new air filter, the one on it now, is new, used once, but I'm still going to get a new one.
