2000 Blaster questions
#1
Hey guys 1st post here, i recently got a 2000 Blaster not in great shape and transformed in (check pics give me sum feedback), and i was ridin against a '89 i think 250x and got beat...., is this right? i have a stock pipe pretty much stock all exept boyseen power reeds and K & N air filter i put in it, could it need new jets?, maybe should get a after market pipe, and one of the dumbest questions on this site is.. Im having trouble putting on a new AC Racing rear grab bar i got The back end u can see were to 2 tubes from the frame end and then there are 2 welded on spaces on the right side of them is it supposed to slide into the 2 spaces or does it bolt on to the sides of them ( but that would make it off-centered). im kinda confused about it. easiest thing i kno but it wont fit into the 2 spaces to just slide in and it is the correct grab bar. any ideas? $750 for a running machine is great deal IMO.
An aftermarket pipe will wake it up, provided you rejet as required. The 250x is not a bad machine and will surprise people if it set up right. Your grab bar should mount to the outside of the welded on mounting brackets.

Nice blaster. My friend has a 95 that he bought new back then and were still beating the **** out of it. I like the fact that they are so short, when you sit on them your rear is basically hanging off.

We just sold a 99 and bought a 2004 off EBay. Blasters are OK. We also have the AC grab bar. It does mount off center of the quad. I checked ours out tonight to make sure what I tell you is right. Looking from the back, the grab bar is mounted to the right side of both the spacers. The left side one you feed the bolt through the bar and screw it into the spacer welded to the frame. The right side you feed the bolt through the silencer bracket, grab bar, then screw it into the spacer. Good luck
