Hey all there is this guy around town that has a 420cc banshee stock pipes stock everything just bored out and is saying it will do 92mph???? it sounded a bit high but it is a 420cc banshee what do you guys think about this? im thinking he needs higher gearing to do this?

 

Well, it wont do 92 without gearing changes, and I would have serious doubts about the motor being anything special. People dont go building 420 Banshee motors and running stock pipes. You cant get 420cc on stock jugs by boring them out seeing that .100 is as big as it gets.

 

maybe he toke all the aftermarket stuff off and just left the engine becuase he wants to start anew project...

 

na well i sort of think the kid is not telling the truth but you can tell it has something done to the engine..he blew the crank on it after he first bored it out then got the new crank for 860 or something he said Canadian prices then he bored it out again.... a friend of mine said it was a 420 or something he wasnt sure but ive seen a 404cc at some local sand dunes that performed better than it so im thinking the 92mph is just BS

 

the hole thing is probally completely stock then and hes just telling u so u buy it and i didnt think u can bore a engine out twice w/o spending some serious money

 

maybe with some major gearing changes but most likely not stock. my recon does 70. lol

 

shoot ...if I put in a 15/35 in the ol' rappy..I could probably get 110 outa that baby...lol

 

I have a crap load of stuff on my shee and it only did 93.1mph on radar
