Finally had a chance to race my KTM against a modded Raptor which included: Pipe, jetted, airbox mods., cam, piston, rev box, port/polished, & bored. The race was conducted on hard packed dirt & we raced in different areas short/long straights & cornering. We rode for about an hour. Another area that I always look at is cost...KTM $5,500.00. Raptor $6,800.00 plus $2,000.00=$8,800.00 in mods. My KTM destroyed the Raptor in short/long runs. The KTM's roost was so much I couldn't even see the driver on the Raptor when I looked back. Dollar for dollar, most bang for the buck for speed this KTM is the widowmaker!!!!! By the way the Raptor is mine also, I just had my brother-in-law ride it to see how they compare. The King of off-road in my stable is the KTM!!!! i would hope a dirtbike could beat a quad. dirtbikes are faster then alot of people think. shoot out of the hole quickand have some nice topend

The 525 motor revs real quick and the weight difference between platforms is a HUGE factor. I have the MXC and it's a six speed (VS. 4 speed of the SX - same 1-4 gearing though). The MXC is a 100 MPH machine out of the box.

I like them both, and each has it's strong suit but for the basic "eyes as big as pie plates" riding - KTM all the way !!

if im correct i think he has posted this 2 times on the yamaha forum and 1 on the ds forum.... what do you think would win its a 525KTM BIKE vs a quad man no kidding.

 

Well this is fairly simple on who's going to win. So just don't post anything, you're getting people annoyed with this kind of crap. Probaly your brother was a crappy driver. Don't worry, you'll get beat sooner or later.
