I have a 04 Raptor 660 with LTE dual pipes, 180/185 jets, and uni filter with no air box lid. All my friends are telling me to put in a aftermarket cdi box. Thay say it will make a big difference in how it will run. I was wondering if it would be worth it to get one, and im also thanking about a cam to. Thanks for any held i may get.

 

from what i understand the cdi, doesnt do crap, it might let you adjust your ignition spark, but its not going to get your the power you want for the price you pay

 

If you get Dyna or Vortex you can set different power maps. Worth it.

 

it does help/ make a diference. if you get a good quality like a DYna or vortex you will get your moneys worth. but i waited until i upgraded my suspension before i go t the cdi. you can only go as fast as your quad can takeb a turn or land a jump w/o bottoming out and bounce all over the place.

 

I have the Dyna FS on both my Raptors, one is stock motor with pipe, jetted and airbox mod and it works great on the third setting. You will notice the difference and also if you want to program it later you can purchase the kit for 150.00.

 

I hear the Vortex comes with a little remote button that switches between 2 of the 10 curve settings "on the fly". [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
