Sparks or Yoshi, I have the dr. d slip on, but you also want the header so I would go with yoshi. It's sweet looking and gives you some gain, to bad I sold it.

I forgot to ask, do you want it loud or quiet?

Guys at the dunes where I ride like the HMF for the YFZ probably more than any other brand. It appears they make the most power or at least as much as any other, but they are LOUD. I've ridden behind them on YFZ's and oh man you get a headache.

We put an HMF full system on my 14 year old son's YFZ, and performance is great. We couldn't be more happy with performance, fit, finish, and durability (it is almost a year old). The HMF exhaust is very loud though. We bought a sound meter from Radio Shack and tested the YFZ, and it is 90 dB at idle, and 123 dB at wide open throttle, with the dB meter held 30" directly above the opening of the exhaust (not behind the exhaust). There was a magazine shootout for YFZ exhaust, and I believe HMF was tied with one other brand for being the loudest, and that none were louder. I think Jardine won the shootout.

I am very happy with the DMC Alien system. Pulls hard everywhere, feel it is best pipe for the money.

Dont care about the noise but would like a full system! The yoshi's are like 800 for a full system! Looks good but dont want to drop that kinda cash! Sounds to me like any pipe will do! guess I just should go for looks????lol Sites where I can pick up a sweet deal would be awesome! Thinking about running a K&N, removing the air box lid and spark arrestor for now, any info?? Is that O.K. to do? Do I need to re-jet it if I do that? Remember I am a newbie!!!! SORRY!!!

Thanks!

So I guess go wiith HMF, it's cool looking gives you good HP, and is a low budget. Buy it from sweetquads he has some good deals and is a round this forum so he could help you out. You have to rejet it because you need more fuel coming thrue your carb becasue your engine is going to breath more. You should already have taken of the lid off, that is free HP!

Pro Circuit makes a great pipe too, HP is great just pull the spark arrester out. Mine is just a slip on, I paid around 250.00 I think. It is kind of loud to. I race my buddies yfz with his full sparks pipe and we are dead even. And as always rejet and pull the lid off your air box to get max hp.

I picked up my full DMC exhaust for $349.99. That was from a local dealer though, I don't know how much they cost around the country.
