Hotcams generally give you more mid-high RPM power, the low stays the same.

I put a megacycle cam in my girfriends warrior last year, with a wiseco piston, yoshi pipe and an open k&n filter it makes a great deal more power. The cam is very easy to install and could be put in just by removing the left side cover on the head, removing the cam chain gear and backing off the valve adjusters. I don't recomend doing this without changing the valve springs. The factory springs are very poor and you will not be able to gain the extra rpms on top with the factory springs, they will float. Order a new inner cam bearing, you will not be able to get the factory one off without damaging it and they are only like ~$14.

i just did one in my warrior and the bearing was not that hard to remove. i just put a bearing puller on it and it came off easy.any smoll puller could do it. i am running my stock valve springs and can't tell any problum with floteing. how would you know if it was floteing ?
i can't tell if it did that much to the HP of the bike becouse i did a lot of stuff at the same time.but it is alot better now

You'll know if you float the valves, it will suddenly make a gargle or very strange sound when you hit full throttle and almost top your rpms. As for cams I would rather get the megacycle that was mentioned or the web race cam. As for the bearing I've only seen a 400EX rebuilt, and the bearing was pretty tight on the cam. To get a new bearing on the new cam you'll probably need a socket that's rim lies right on the rim of the bearing, and a rubber mallet to slowly tap it on there. I'd worry about dealing with the cam chain more than the bearing, that will definately slow you down if you have any trouble.
