Bruin 250 or bayou 250?
I have been around bayou's since i was 6 years old and love them. My friend bayou 220 is crazy and can get through anything and yeah it's a 96 and still is running. I use to have a bayou 250 and loved it but what i was doing it was not good for like the track and jumps and stuff like that. Now my brother has the bayou 250 and it's perfect for him, he just trail rides and goes through mudpits like nothing. In the snow the bayou can get through 6" easy and can plow 6" too even being a 2x4. The bayou's are great for work and trail riding and they love the mud. Overall it's a great quad and fun to ride around on, i still take his out every now and then because i like them so much. They are pretty quick to for a little 250 i clocked it out at 47mph the 5th gear has a lot of juice if you hold it out a lot. The Bruin 250 is the same thing as the beartracker 250 but just up graded, i dont know to much about them but the beartrackers needed a makeover bad, so it might be a nice quad now. But the bayou you will be happy with if you are trail riding and stuff, they are not good for high jumps and dont like the track.

WOW thank you so much for the great info! It will just be a trail atv and some light work like towing a lawn areator around and used for hunting season incase we get a few deer and what not. Also might put a plow on it because we dont normaly get more than 6" of snow at a time here in maryland. Thanks again for your great info, I really appreciate it and I am 99% sure I will be getting the Bayou!

Bruin 250 or bayou 250?
Hello prostreetcamaro. Before I bought my quads I looked at the Bayou 250. It seemed like a good quad and I liked the sporty looks. I hadn't looked at the Bruin 250 because it wasn't at the dealers yet. But to be truthful, I liked the Honda recon better than the Bayou. I liked the Trailblazer the best. Hope this helps.

Your welcome prosteetcamaro, the bayou will be perfect for what your doing and i hope you like it as much as i do. My friend bayou we towed a 900 pound haybail from the farm up the street. Also if you are getting it brand new than make sure that you break it in before any major work or anything 10 hour of slow riding around. The dealer will tell more about it.

The honda recon is also a great quad and can do the same stuff as the bayou it just is a little upper class. If you get the recon make sure you dont get the ES kind you will have electrical problems that's with the shifting on the handle bars. But you can get it so it's like the bayou with the foot shifting. Both are great quads and i like them both but for the price bayou you can't beat it.

I am going to go with the Bayou 250 because the only one they have in stock is the green one which is perfect for my hunting purposes! I am going to try and talk them down a bit on price also because the $2999.99 they told me is the actual MSRP and almost nobody sells anything for msrp. Maybe they will drop it down enough to cover the cost of tax's and registration and all that good stuff. It is still in the crate so I cant test drive it ( ::::::: I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant wait till friday morning! I am going to be there when they open and get the deal rolling in time so they can put it together the same day and I can take delivery!!!!!!!
