If anyone of you Raptor brothers of mine find out when some after market parts become available let me know. I don't think I like the looks of the handlebars, I'm thinking Renthal. Also what do you all think is going to be the best pipe for the beast. Just an idea, Yamaha has tac/hour meters available for there quads, might be a good idea to keep track of the hours. Later

the tach/hour meter is a good idea... also i heard at the dealer that yamaha already makes another exhaust as well as hlite covers and several other accessories like different skid plates front bumpers and the like... would be easy to customize your beast if that is the case...

My Raptor will arrive in a few days. I was wanting a smaller front sprocket for it. Does anyone know if a sprocket off of another ATV will fit (Maybe a banshee or warrior) or will I have to wait for a sprocket designed for the Raptor?

Check with Sprocket Specialists http://www.sprocketspecialists.com

If they don't have it, they will probably be one of the first to.

I talked with sprocket specialists. The guy that answered the phone had never heard of the Raptor. He said since it was new that they wouldn't be able to have sprockets available until they get to take apart a Raptor and measure it.

Where can you get info on the aftermarket stuff? Is there anything on the internet? I looked at the Yamaha Home page, and they only had accessories for the other ATV's. Nothing for the raptor. Am I going to have to go the the dealer to get any info on stuff like pipes, or the other Yamaha Add Ons?

I read this article in the Sept. issue of 4-wheel atv action magazine.
Accessories for Yamaha's Raptor 660R!! Yamaha is beating everyone to the punch with a boatload of goodies. Icluded are GYT-R headpipe, GYT-R carbon fiber or aluminum slip-on mufflers, headlight guard, graphics kits, aluminium heel guards, blue shock covers, skid plates for A-arms, frame and swingarm, plus engine cover side panels, rear grab bar with or without cooler bracket, and front bumpers in two styles. Longtime Yamaha fans will recall that GYT stands for Genuine Yamaha Tuning.
