stock sprockets on a blaster ???

Default stock sprockets on a blaster ???

my blaster has dmc alien pipes k&n filter soon to be bored out and ported and as well with rad valve and 33 mm carb i was looking into also getting new chians and sprockets iw as wondering if nay one new the numebr of teeth for the stock sprockets and what would be a good combo of new sprockets for my setup and do yous recomned any certain product?

If your going to get port work done, you'll have no problem pullin a 14

Default stock sprockets on a blaster ???

so after all my work is done 14 -40 woudl be a good gearing?.. or should i go bigger with something like 14-42 or somthing to get the higher top speed?

I would stick with the 40 in the back. 1 tooth on the front makes a BIG difference.

Actually according to Douggust.com. If you want a higher top speed you lower the number of teeth on the rear sprocket. (If you have smaller tires than stock).

Right i believe,
Rear Sprocket; Higher top speed= less teeth Lower Top Speed= More teeth
Front Sprocket; Higher top speed=more teeth Lower top speed= Less teeth.

Changing your front sprocket by 1 is the same as changing your back sprocket by 3...IMO..alwys leave your front sprocket alone and work with your rear 1 tooth at a time until you find the combination that is right for you....3 identical motors may run the same on three different sprocket setups...all depends on rider style and terrain

alright, sounds good .. is there an imparticular company you recomend that makes good quailty sprockets and chains?..or doesnt it matter and i should just search around and find one?
