Default Best skiplates?

I was just wondering what everyone uses for skidplates on their Yamahas...I need protection!! There isn't much more annoying than sticks poking into the frame and stopping you dead in your tracks (except maybe a flat). So what brand does everyone prefer?

I run Armadillos on all mine. The fit like a glove, are tough as nails, and you get em cheap on ebay.

Armadillo for the frame and a Ricochet Bullet swingarm guard. Both are holding up great.

How thick is the armadillo stuff? Does it really make a big difference in weight from .190 to like .250?

The Armadillo's are .190 thick.
IMO the difference in weight between .190 and .250 is relatively big, but it's worth it.

I have all DG products. I use the FAT series on everything. As far as weight goes I weighed my new..
Bumper
Grab bar
Nerf Bars
Chassis Skid
Swingarm Skid
A-Arm Skids

= a grand total of about 31 -32 lbs.

I live near mostly mountain type terrain and I'm happy with them.

I really don't know how much i will be riding in big rocks, mostly worried about sticks and such. I can probably get away with thinner to save weight.
