Well you can say i been getting a little impatient waiting and reading about the people who already got theirs. So i called Yamaha today and found out there was one shipped to my dealer yesterday from New Jersey and it was a blue one like I ordered! And they said it was the only one my dealer was getting this month!! So I was kinda bummed out because iam no.3 on the list. So I went to my dealer to tell them they should have one real soon, well at least I would get to see a real one!! And he told me that the 2 on the list ahead of me backed out!!!!!They moved me to the no. 1 Made my day!!!!! Matter of fact they said I was the only one on there list!! Woooo-Hoooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!

This is your first quad? This is a pretty serious machine you are getting for a first timer, its kinda like getting a Honda 900RR as your first motorcycle.

Please dont do what all the newbies do when they get on their first quad...

Dont do high speed donuts, unless you want to eat Sh|T. Just take it easy and have fun.

The first wheeler I've ever rode was a Banshee. Nearly killed myself when it hit powerband. I didn't even know what powerband was back then, though!

So the first wheeler I bought was a banshee too. I didn't have a problem handling it, just took it easy until I got the hang of it. And I guarantee that a raptor will be eaiser to handle for a beginer than a banshee.

What was the phone number you called to find out when one was shipped to your dealer?? I know that they were supposed to ship to Oregon the first week of sept to the distribution center then from there to the dealers..... I have been calling my dealer all week to find out confirmation that they are on the way... and to get a idea when the first are going to show... I havn't been able to find anything out yet.. if I can do it myself I will.... PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

The wait is killing me!

Thanks

I live in SE Washington and my dealer (Yamaha Country) keeps telling me to hang in there. What I don't get is why people who live close to Japan (WA, OR, ID) are getting theirs so late!

This is my first Quad too. I have some time in on a Suzuki Quadsport 230 and a Yamaha Warrior. I figured I could handle it since I last had a YZ250 and a piped/carbed GS700ES Streetbike (like a Suzuki version of the interceptor) a few years back. I am investing heavily in riding armor...

Hi RaptorDude,

Can you please provide me with the telephone number of Yamaha? Like you, I'm becoming impatient and I would like to see when my dealer is getting his shipment. I'm #2 on the list.

Thanks

Hey I have been riding atvs for 17 years and this is no first quad. All I'm saying if you don't have any experience this thing will kill you. I have abot 5 to 7 hours on mine. And it is still scary fast. You better get some good gear rookie and some insurance cause your going to need it. Good Luck
