Battery charge on '04 Grizz
#1
Need input on the life expentancy
mine is just over a year old
just over 350 miles on it
battery will not hold a charge
even when out riding it will sometimes barely start
anyone have problems with certian connections?
Charging system?
or battery just shot?
Would something like this be under warranty?
Its a real pain the **** when I go and pic it up from my storage place and its dead
Even after only a week of sitting on a full charge.
Laod test is OK on the battery.
What possible could be draining it?
thanks

If it load tested ok, then the battery is probably good. Clean the connections if they look crusty.
If you have a voltmeter, hook it up, and check the at rest voltage. Should be around 12.4 or so, depending on temp. Start it up and see what the volts are at idle. Slould be slightly higher than the resting voltage. Now rev it up to about 4000 or so rpm, and it should be about 14 volts.
Are you using a winch?Any after market accesories? hand warmers?
Some batteries are junk right away, and some last up to 7 years or so.

dood mine did the same thing. All u gotta do is just tighten the cords to the battery really tight. I carry a screw driver in the grizz cause it get loose a lot. somtimes all i do it just push the screw downwith the screw driver and start it up. hope this works for u
