Quadsport, yes the DS is A LOT heavier, and if you ride both, one after another, you will see, they feel completely different, i liked how the raptor was easy to pop up the front when you feel like playing, BUT, i love the DS's smooth ride and it is easier to get wild on for me, due to the wider and heavier stance. its all about what you want, i thought the raptor felt too small and tippy for me, but what may seem one way for me may seem the opposite to you.

 

if you put an exhaust on the rappy and the Ds, the rappy will win, the raptor's exhaust is very very restrictive. also, by adding a set of wheel spacers to the rear for 70$, it takes alot of the tippy-ness away.

 

Thats because we got all of these posts out of our system back in 2001 and 2002 when these quads came out.

if u pipe the raptor....well i have seen many many piped raptors that ran good and even raced two of the raptors one with fmf powercore 4 pipe and the other with CT mine was completely stock only about 4 weeks old he was half a quad ahead on the holeshot and then once i hit 3rd i went right by him and you could tell i had a higher top speed... if you pipe the ds and the raptor the raptor takes off a bit faster but the ds still tops out faster.

They did a dirtwheels test! the DS barely won stock, but with 500$ in mods, the 660R "woke up from its nap" and won by a fairly large margian!!! (sp)

 

yea DW did a test LOL....mine stock hit 77mph and now with 22 inch tires and 15 tooth front sprocket and endcap mod i am able to hit 83mph on gps at the rev limiter.....a guy up the road from me got 22 inch tires on rear on his rappy went down a front tooth and topped out barely faster than stock he had pipe....
