I don't think very many people like the stock tires on the rap350 very much. I would think yamaha would learn a lesson from those nasty balloon tires that came stock on the warrior! I wish the stockers were more like the ones on the z400, or some of the other new quads out there, that would be much better.

Too bad you can't just send the crappy stockers to maxis, have them recycle them, and give you a discount for the razors! lol

lol, good one!!! Those stainless bolts do add up quickly... I haven't had too many problems since I got rid of the stock carb, those screws really suck, even when you use the proper driver. The original drain for the oil really sucked too, but they sent me a newer modified one with wing tabs around it and a deeper head for the socket to remove it. The original stripped on me without even overtorqueing it.
(Back to subject) As for performance rip all the intake and exhaust components off and replace them with good stuff to get a decent power boost, and for handling some offset rims and new tires are a good start. I don't know if they still use the same carb on the rap350, but a good replacement with a accelerator pump will almost make you shnike your pants, from the power gain as well as response. Handling should always come before power, so the tires and rims are probably your best bet for now. It would suck to get a pipe and not have any hookup anyway...

New carb on rappy, they use the 36mm BSR that the Kawi-Su-Cat 400's run, the warriors had 35mm?

I just bought two 05 Raptors for my wife and son. I addressed the handling first by adjusting the suspension and adding wheel spacers front and rear. We just put on new tires, razor 2 and what a difference it made. We also replaced the stock bars with the Trail Tech along with the clamps and a set of AC nerfs. I almost like it better than my yfz. They are great bikes. The next project will be pipes, jets and of coarse air intake.

The tires and spacers make the bike handle 100% better.
