05 kodiak 450 problem in snow and mud

Default 05 kodiak 450

the problem i got is that my quad doesn't seen to spin the tires in mud or snow any faster than 22km
it'll spin them a little faster when it's not in diff lock but thats it. it'll go faster on dry ground
any ideas

well i thought maby i got something in the belt so i took the cover off and it looked dry in there no sign of anything maby something wrong with the cluch this can't be all it has to spin the tires it can't even spin them fast enough to get the rev limmiter to kick in.
if thats all it's got thats sad my grampas honda 350 can spin them faster than that

If you are in low and diff lock on...then youre hitting the rev limiter, you could press the override button, and itll rev higher. The objective of the diff lock is to get traction ...not spin.

thats what i thought at first but the revlimiter kicks in at 32km my quad won't spin them faster than 23km in high or low range

yeah they prolbaly will nail you w/ fee's but it might be worth it in the end

yea i was hoping to not have to go back to the dealer
not to impressed with the service so far
not something you would think you would have to worry about
especially after buying a brand new quad from them

you said u cheched inside the cover and it was dry but after you ride a little bit after you get out of the mud hole it automatically dries out in no time so theres still a possibillity your belt is slipping ...ive had these problems and it was because of the belt.....
