I've ran Uni filters directly on the carb in most of my bikes. That set-up works great as long as you don't ride mud. Just invest in an outerwear(or pantyhose ) and rejet. I noticed better throttle response and a little more power all through the RPM range.

Well, I have(had) a K&N in my factory airbox with drilled lid on my ATC, and it stays alot cleaner. I don't know about comparable power gains, since I ran the Uni on 4 Stroke quads and the K&N on a Banshee killing ATC, way different league. I do know that the Uni gave me better power all around on the quads I put it on. Like I said, if you run dry conditions mostly, Uni clamp on is the way to go.

I run the 2:1 intake with a Uni filter and outerwear. It works well as long as you do not submerge it.

K&N w/o airbox (no 2 N 1) and outerwears, great setup for sand.
