hey all. got a question for ya's.
i see that there are a few vary fast turbo ds's out there. why is there no turbo raptors, or any other 4 stroke?

a turbo can be put on any 4 stroke, cant it? is it a compression thing?
it seems to me the ds guys slap in a turbo, while the raptor boys add cams, pistons, polishing, cdi and pipe. along with some with a bottle.

fill me in on the ds turbo against the ported and polished raptors.

well, i appreciate the link. i read every post, and can guess it is basically that the builders are just now starting to work with turbo's on raptors?

 

I wouldn't say that.

I think KMS actually may have put the turbo Raptor together before the DS??? There was a company that had a write-up in Dirt Wheels a while back that put together a turbo kit for the Raptor. They sold a few of them and I think they screwed someone that gets on here too. But, bottom line is production Turbo Systems for the Raptor have been out longer than for the DS.

I'm not sure why more Raptor owners haven't stepped up on the turbo where the DS's have.

Probably the successful turbo is that of Scooby's on his stock bore DS. He put together the kit himself and never marketed it, just built it for himself. His build hasn't been without issues but, the results have been AWESOME!

At the Dyno at Four Stroke Wars II Scooby got 119HP while the next highest run on a four stroke was 73HP?? (another DS).
