Default Hot Rod vs Tim Barker?

What do you guys suggest? I need to replace my Rod and I'm debating on which one to go. I hear Carillo doesn't hold up well. So I'm down to these two options. I'm ready to place an order and get this thing running already. I appriciate any input anyone can give me. Thanks in advance.

I have a Carillo and have not had any problems. Tim Barkers rods are machined better than the Carillo.

That would be the first I've heard of any reliability problems with the carillo.

I've heard that a few of the carillo rods were not machined the best, sent back to 'true' specs.

My barker rod has not has any problems

I've been told where the wristpin goes in on the rod tends to egg out. I ordered a Hot Rod today. I hope I made the right choice. An ASE certified buddy of mine who works at Ford recommends them highly. Hopefully I can rebuild this beast soon.. and onward to my DS650.
