Default blaster and 250R

i was just wondering how good a blaster is compared to a 250R. im not stupid. i know a 250R is better by far but is the blaster better in any areas. how does a blaster compare in a drag race and if the 250R smokes it by a ton then y so. its only 50cc's bigger. i know cc's arent everything but what makes the 250R so fast. im not trying to start another VS. thread. i just want some info on the 250R. im interested. honda doesnt have anything about it on their site cuz its not being made anymore and ive searched this forum for blaster/ 250R comparisons and havent found any. i just want to know how they would stack up. how does everyone like their 250R's? suspention, handling, acceleration, and whats the top speed. stock or modded it doesnt matter, just specify if you are talking tricked out 250R or stock. thanks

i dont think the blaster has ANY advantages over the 250r. Everything about the 250r is better, suspension, handling, power etc. its soo much faster because its powervalved(or is that just aftermarket?) and its liquid cooled. Its basically like a CR250 motor in a quad, FAST! i dont undestand why you think the blaster would have any advantages over the 250r, but i cant think of any besides that the blaster is better for beginners... is that an advantage??

blaster would be more reliable, but the 250r is pretty reliable. plus the 250r is so much more customizable than the blaster. cant beat the speed and handling of a 250r

i have an 86 r, they are roomy, quick, nimble, well suspended for the age, great hill climbers, great for speed,DEPENDABLE AS HELL,just a great all around machine! comparisons to blaster not much. blaster-zippy r-fast if you get an r you WONT look back! previous machines-86 quad sport,87 tecate 4. current machines 86R,87 mojave .dont get me wrong a blaster is a good little bike for its intended purpose-low buck sport machine.cheap to maintain, great bang for the buck ! Default blaster and 250R

i was just wondering if it did have any advantages or any potential over an R. i didnt think so and its seems i am right. i wouldnt know cuz i dont know about most of the older quads (zillas, lt250rs, trx250rs, etc.) and i hear a lot about the 250R so i asked. i figured the 250R was a lot better, just wondered why i guess. it being close in cc's to the blaster. but blasters arent used for mx like 250R's. i know why, im not an idiot. i just wanted to know more about them. thats all.

The blaster can me made just like a 250R if you choose to. My blaster will be pulling over 40hp, at just under 300lbs.
