warrior/2001 raptor shock swap
My little brother has a 1988 warrior that was in desperate need of a new rear shock. Some ppl on this site told me to get him the 01 raptor shock becuase it would fit and apparently it's a nice little upgrade. Anyway's i got him the shock off ebay this morning and i am wondering is it a direct bolt on, Or is there some modifcation's that will have to be done. If modification's are nessacary could someone give me a pretty simple walk through of what will need to be done. Thank's in advance

I remember reading a previous thread on this subject, but I'm not sure if the guy used the rear shock or not. I remember him using the fronts but not the rear shock. I don't think any mods need to be done, but I think he had to compress the shocks a little to install them. He claimed it worked very well, but it might raise the ride height slightly. If you do a search you might be able to find the thread, I think it was sometime within the last year. Good luck with the project, it should work out very well.
