Banshee or yfz
#12
i was gonna ask this question sooner or later because i was debating on the same thing, whether to get a YFZ or a Banshee, from what people told me who rode both they said the banshee is still a little faster but not much and the Banshee has wicked power, which i like. I've ridden 2 stroke since i started riding and then my brother got his 400ex and i'm still sticking with my 2 strokes, 4 strokes still don't have the feel of the 2's and probably never will. Even my stepdad who raced a few years ago and is best friends with Barry Hawk(not sure if any of you know him he raced GNCC on quad for years and he just now started GNCC with bikes, but he's rated close to the top in his standings and races all over the country), but anyhow my stepdad used to race and he said that Banshees are the quickest quads he ever rode. So i'm pretty much decided on getting a Banshee cause i love 2 stroke power and it's not that much of a change going from my 250R to a Shee. And the only reason i want another quad is because my 250R is strictly a racing machine that i bought specifically for the racing. My 250R will put a stock banshee to shame no questions asked, i've got a good bit of money tied up in the thing and i don't want to be taking it out in the woods and beating it up for no reason, i've got almost every engine mod on it, and the only thing left for me to do to it is a bigger sized jug than the 310 i already have and an even longer stroked crankshaft.
I would get the banshee but just like some of the guys are 4 stroke people, I'm a 2 stroke person.

if i were u i wouldnt hesitate a bit....if ur buying the yfz just for it being quicker then stick with the shee...by the time u spend the money on the shee that u would to get a yfz youd be walking all over them

I have a 450 and at the dunes up comp hill, there wasnt a shee that could beat me up it! I only raced maybe three or four but all were piped and chromed out! I had them by a bikes length, even my buddies shee that has mad engine work done to it, couldnt beat me up it, now down by the ocean on the flats we draged and 1st through third I had him, but after that goodbye, No way I could keep up! The torque on a 450 is nutz, there was no hill i couldnt climb at insane rates. The shee needed a run at huge ones, I didnt! Both are yamahas so you cant go wrong, but moding shees, you need to buy 2 of everything, that adds up $$$$$! I would trade, save and ride it and see witch one you like, cuz your buddy has one and I am sure he lets you ride it, if you decide on the 450, sell shee!!!!
