i have the chance to trade in my z250 for an 2000 banshee. the banshee has slight modds (pipe etc.) should i do this or keep saving for a yfz like i planned. the banshee will also need new tires. i have no experience with a two stroke expect for my weed wacker and leaf blower.

personally id save for a YFZ, but im a 4 stroke lover... check into the shee a bit, it may have some minor problems or somthing, ask the person selling why they are selling it, if its a dealer, see if they will give a short term full warranty, if they dont they may know of a problem, or they just dont want to make the sell, Banshee's as I have heard are low maintance if they are always maintained well and arent beat on with a 20lb sledge hammer. but as i said id wait for the YFZ, more and more places to ride are startin to put restrictions or 2 strokes... but as always, go with what your comfortable with, I got a 2005 YFZ450 and its great, i have ridden banshee's and used to own a '95 banshee and it was the hottest thing... but i got tired of rebuilding the top end... so get what you want. but id wait for the money for a 450

as far as i can see it is in good shape. i will ask tomorrow if there is any known problem with it. is there anything i should look for while inspecting this quad. also how often would i have to rebuild the top end.

Bigballer i am thinking about the yfz because my friend has one and i think its one of the niest atvs out there.

Trade him, and keep saving. When you save up about 4g, then sell the banshee and get a YFZ450. Ohh and just wondering why would he trade a piped Banshee for a Z250?

I just like 2 strokes. If it was me, id take the piped shee. But do what you want. If the banshee is in nice condition take it. You can mod a shee to spank a yfz. (well not spank)

Who wouldn't want a YFZ? Well I think the YFZ shines every where except the dunes, I know banshee riders will back their machine up and say no to my statement, but that's just IMO.

I really like the yfz but I think a piped banshee is better then a stock yfz.

I in my experienced could keep up with piped banshees when stock, or in most cases beat them.
