Yes, I went to redsansds, since I live like 5 minutes away from there. But I had some problems with the YFZ, it was leaking alot of oil and couldn't find the leak. So my riding time was ruined.

You probably popped a transimission seal behind the front sprocket....buy the parts (about $18) and I will fix it for a six pack...don't let the dealer touch it, cuz they all suck. I would sell you the extra seal I have but then I will pop mine again and have to wait 2 weeks for the reorder.

LOL, some bears huh? Well, I don't think it's that because all the oil was infront of the motor, near the oil tank, and the radiator?

Then you popped your decompression plug, all 04's had a problem with that...again a $15 fix...

Why are the YFZs popping oil seals behind the front sprocket?
Is it because of the decompression plug in the front of the motor not allowing the pressure to bleed off?

I wish I could honestly charge you a beer for a decomp plug install but it is too simple of fix....just don't over torque the bolt and you should be fine....

I think that the YFZ pops the plug because there was a manual decompression lever there for the YZ450F dirtbike and it got removed on the quad. The 05 head was milled different so I don't have to worry about that....

As far as the tranny seals goes...the stock sprocket has a plastic noise reducing ring on it that melts if you get ANYTHING, such as a pebble, caught in it and that burns out the seal. On a new one I would just pop off the plastic noise reduction ring on the front sprocket.

Sounds like a job I could do easily, well if I go on sunday, well see who has a better quad and a who is a better, rider. Yours is very fast, and it's going to be a good battle, but I may also go to Fort Stockson, like 50 minutes away for some track racing they are having, you should go compete.
