hey we all didnt know how to work a clutch at one time. how old are you coolguy? i just learned in 2003. im 16. its just something i didnt need to know until then and something i was never taught. 2003 is when i got my first atv. b4 i lived in CA and there was no logical place to ride. its a lot cheaper and easier to own acreage in Arkansas. i never thought i would like and type of motorsport (thought they were dumb) but now im obsessed in a way. im sure coolguy will get the hang of it. i picked up on it really fast and now i can use one almost flawlessly and i enjoy it. just take the time to fully learn before you try and do anything stupid. just because you have a yfz doesnt mean your good at riding (it means your spoiled... but hey he cant help it) if your going to ride that yfz make sure you can do it right and try learning a little about a clutch too. that helped my fully learn what was happening when i pulled that lever. just some advise. dont go braggin about how rich and spoiled you are... its not really a good thing IMO. and people are always going to have hard feeling and jealousness. put yourself in out situation...rich kid get ($7000 btw) birthday present and tells everone on the atv forum about how hes spoiled and that he doesnt know how to use a clutch right and his parents dont even know what they were buying. not really something to be proud of. im sure there are a lot of ppl who are just jealous but just because he is rich doesnt mean he shouldnt be riding and be excluded from the sport. anyone agree? im glad your riding atvs coolguy...... just make sure you can do it correctly before you go out telling everyone what you have. just my opinion. sorry for the long post...............
maybe some would disagree???

Best thing for you to do is make a list of what parts need replacing and start looking on ebay and pick up each one as you can afford it. Sorry to hear about your crash, but the good thing is you didn't get hurt. Also, it is probably a good thing that your parents are requiring you to pay for the repairs. If nothing else it will help you appreciate and maintain your stuff since you know if you break it, you fix it.
As for the rest of you bashers...
Each of us was born into our own set of circumstances and that part we cannot control. You can set back and get angry at someone else’s life because yours didn't have the perks another did. He!!, I grew up eating Spam and macaroni, wearing my older brothers clothes and watching my neighbors ride their dirtbikes and atvs and having so much fun. Instead of sulking and hating people like them my whole life I took charge of my future and went to college (paid all of it myself through student loans) and now I can afford to buy the things I didn't have growing up. So stop all your b!tching and moaning and take care of yourself and don't worry about someone else.
Besides, every one of you on here had to learn how to ride with a clutch at sometime. Help the boy out instead of bashing him.
And for coolguy....
You should fully understand how fortunate you are. What makes some of these guys hate you, is for you to complain when you seem to have so much. Take care of the damage yourself, ride responsibly and enjoy the sport. Heck things can't be to bad...you still have a yfz to ride. Not everyone has two atv's at your age. Just be careful take it easy and don't wreck it.
