Well, the ATV channel was highly impressed with the new Kodiak (Imagine that... who wouldn't be?)
And they seemed impressed with the improvements to the new '05 Griz too.
A pair of highly capable machines to say the least.

Is it just me, or does Super Doug never get up off the seat?

Does the decal make that much difference?

Outdoornut:

In response to your "Quote/question":

According to the "Test riders" (And/or editors) on the show, the suspension on the '05 Griz has been, in thier opinion- quote, "refined" since the last test ride they did with it, and was according to them, "Noticably better". Was their last test of the Griz for the '04 model?? the '03?? I don't know....Do YOU??
Apparently like you, I too was under the impression that the '04 and '05 Griz were the exact same machine (Other than cosmetic changes), but "They" implied that there were some minor changes-and/or tuning in the suspension, and it handled much better than the last time they tested it.
I don't know, since I wasn't there for the last test, and don't even know when it was. It could have even been a test of the '03 model, who knows. I'm just passing along what they said on the show, for anybody that missed it. They said it was, "Much improved" over the last Grizzly they tested.
Whatever the case with the Griz, right or wrong, new or old, same or different, they liked the '05 Griz, and most certainly, after trying and testing it, LOVED the changes to the new IRS Kodiak. The '05 Kodiak is indeed a new breed of cat, there's no arguing THAT. The Kodiak is a completely different machine than last year, with all the suspension upgrades, and other upgrades/frills, taken from the Grizzly, and added to the new and improved "mid-sized" machine.
If you differ with the opinion of the editors of the program about the alleged changes to the "New" and supposedly "improved" Grizzly, take it up with them, or challenge THEIR opinion/credibility.
I'm merely passing along their findings, and what THEY said.
My personal opinion of the Grizzly hasn't changed a bit, as I'm sure yours hasn't either. The Griz is a Sh*t hot machine, and no one can argue that. '03.... '04....'05..... It's a beast any way you look at it, and is most definitely a machine to be reckoned with. NOBODY can argue that. Anybody that has ever HAD a Grizzly, RIDDEN a Grizzly, or been up AGAINST a Grizzly should be able to tell you that they command a certain amount of respect.
Don't shoot the messenger here buddy.... just passin' along what they said on the tube.
If the '04 and '05 Grizzly are the exact same machine with absolutlutely NO changes of any kind, well.....blame THEM for thinking the '05 is better. After all.... You're dealing with industry "Experts" right???

Check your PM's.

That is the first I heard of any changes for the 05 model year. It wasn't a jab at the messenger.
