Default Banshee Problems

Well it all started a few days ago, i was out riding the shee, it was running great no problems. Then out of no where is started running bad poping and backfiring, then it was only running on one cylinder, i checked the compression on both cylinders it was fine. At first i though the coil (it had weak spark) had took a dump on me, so i got a coil off an 02 shee from a buddie of mine, still had weak spark. Now its at the point where it wont even start in a warm shop even with me putting fuel right in the carbs. I'm lost as to what it could be seeing is i just restored it with the following new parts: Top end .030 over pro com cdi cool head all new gaskets ect from the frame to the trans everything has been checked only about 5 months ago.
Has good compression, spark but not all that great, fuel???

I'm hoping its somthing stupid i'm just over looking.

Any help would be great

Dennis

Since it is backfiring and you have already done a compression test, I would next check the reeds and do a leak down test.

Thanks for the help guys.

This is a hard one for just about everyone i have asked so far.

Got new plugs today and tried them still no luck.

The reeds are boyesen super stock reeds with around 6 hours on them, maybe got a bad set????

I have been through the entire ignition system everything checks out, still has me wondering.

You need to actually look at the reeds. Make sure they arent standing open much and make sure they arent falling apart. Then put in a clean plug, kick it over a while, and see if the plug is wet. Then make sure you got spark. Gotta find out which area the problem is in before you can solve it.
