The minor changes are nice but I still think that they should have left the name the same!

i love my warrior.. i don't know why they changed it.. the only difference is the look and the shocks, and very minor engine work. I think they look shold have stayed. I like those lights

It's all about the $$$. Ameicans especially just love to buy things that are NEW and IMPROVED. Besides that, the Warrior was probably looking a little dated for that young first time buyer.

I LOVE MY WARRIOR. I HATE THE RAPTOR 350. IT SEEMS LIKE EVRY SPORT QUAD YAMAHA HAS WILL EVENTUALLY BE A RAPTOR(

The warrior had a reputation as a very reliable machine, but unfortunately a slow one as well. Since the release of the 400ex back in 99 or so its been getting lower and lower in the sport quad standards. Yamaha was trying to get away from the "slow" stigma and at the same time capitalize on the phenominal success of the raptor styling and name.

Good business move, but upset a lot of die hards (me included). Most of them didnt change thier mind though, if they were going to buy before most still did after the name change.

what are you talking about... a STOCK warrior tops out at around 63-64. What do you mean slow? a stock blaster goes 58 tops.. so u calling that a snail? don't post if u don't kno what ur talking about. Warrior can be easily modded to hit upper 70's. The raptor 350 is the same, just 20 lbs lighter, very slight engine work, and some new shocks. calling that slow also?

It can hit upper 70's on a trailer going down the highway. Stock its mid 50's. I owned a warrior, fun trail quad but it is definitely an aged design in the power and handling department.
