what kind of racing? mx, trail? for mx id pic the holeshot HD's because of how soft they are and they hook up amazing. on the trail i would say kenda klaws because their tread pattern really gets rid of mud and dirt from building up, they are great trail tires. as far as rims go, i hear t-9's are real durable for track, but you might want something a lil sturdier for rocky trail racing.

for MX i like the Turf Tamers, they really slide out going around corners and have really great traction, plus they are cheaper than alot of other tires, for XC and trails it depends, i have Mud Sharks on my 250R, i go through mud like it's nothing, Sharks get awesome traction and i have no power turning them, i prefer mud tires over anything for XC or trail riding.
