Wheel Spacers: the good, bad, ugly??
#1
I'd really like to have a wider track on my Rappy. I cannot justify spending $450 on an aftermarket axel which is no more than a nice metal bar. Are ther any pros and cons on using spacers?
Should I put em on the fronts or rear?
Thanks

wheels spacers would be good just for some added stability. i wouldnt go off any big jumps with them. i would say just put them on in the rear. and if you look around some more you can find an axle for less than $450.

Hey sickofpickingusernames,
Rockymountain ATV selles a plus 2-4 rear axle for 200 dollars, I think that it's their own brand, and I heard from someone else on this forum that they garantee it. If it has any problems, they should replace it. Even though a lot of people on this forum aren't fond of Dirtwheels, they had a review on this axle, and they were pretty impressed. I'll call Rockymountains and find out if they really garantee it.

Yea, I just called them and they said that they are the main distributer of this axle. I asked about a warranty and they said that it has a limited lifetime warranty that covers thing like breaking or bending or defects. It doesn't cover any damage to wheels sprocket, rotor, things like that. I'm getting my new raptor tomorrow morning, I'm probably going to get this axle, it seems like a great deal to me.
