Default Air box ?'s

Has any ever made an air box out of stainless steel?

The kodiak needs a new one and I dont want to pay an arm and a leg at the dealer. My buddy and I can make one. I just want to know if anyone has made one and how it turned out.

When I make on it is going to have snorkle hook ups for deep water crossings and fit a larger air filter that will actually seal. Unlike the crappy stocker. Or I will just get the pro design pro flow. Later guys.

yea, One company Makes an Aluminum Air-Box for sport quads, i forgot the name of them though. But the pro-design does a very good job of keeping dirt out and more performance.

Check out ebay. Search for CFM. They have an aluminum airbox for about 110 bucks.

You can defently make one if you have the right skills. Just start out with a square box, at the right dimentions, and then go from there. Youll need to calculate the bend of the pipe so it lines up with the carb at a good angel. Making one would be alot better then buying one because you can build it to flow more air..

Maybe a twin filter set-up?
