Can you race the Raptor 660? I was wanting to know because a lot of people say the 660 is better for trail riding than the YFZ. I want to try racing but if I dont like it I dont want to be stuck with a race only machine. I stick with yamaha so please dont tell me to get a z400 so I can do both.

The raptor 660R wasn't meant to be a MX racer, sure you could make it into one, but you need cash, and with the extra money you are going to be spending on suspension, the price is going to be higher than the YFZ. The YFZ and raptor aren't really comparable in the track. The YFZ is light, better suspension, better accelerator, and that's pretty much what you need. I will tell you that I have gotten tired of racing the raptor, the suspension kills me, in turns, you wont turn as well as the 450's.

 

get both[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]. no, i think you wont have a problem with the yfz. it wont be too much of a problem on trails and its fun to ride trails fast on it. if you are more interested in trails then get the raptor but the raptor isnt too great a mx quad.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
