05 raptor problem with first gear
#1
Just bought raptor and i'll start it up and let is warm up and then when i put it into first gear the bike just shuts off.
and when i do it again it sometimes does it.
But after i ride it just like 15 ft it doesn't do it again. but after it sits for a few days or the next time i go ride it dose it all over again.
Anybody with similiar problem or have idea to was is causing this?

could be your clutch is just too loose? if i dont ride mine for a while, and i put it in first it jerks and stalls, so i keep up the revs a lil, or tighten the clutch. doesnt sound major.

You can loosen your clutch if you want...its not a problem. Most bikes do this when new or the clutch is adjusted properly.

well, when i first put my bike into 1st gear, it like jumps then goes in. Try playing around with the clutch cable slack, maybee your clutch isnt fully engaging. also check your oil?

Dude, just adjust your clutch! It only takes two 12 mm wrenches. Just do it in small, tiny increments. These clutches are very sensitive. If you're bike is new, you won't need the new kit yet. Hold onto it for a season or two, depending on how bad you abuse the stocker.
