Default air filter

you guys a proably geting tired of seeing my name but i was wondering if the air filters that clamp on the carb are they any good. i'd really like to get rid of my warrior air box but i didn't know how good they would work. i do alot of trail riding you kind of over the hill and threw the creek and i didn't know how they would work being wet or when it real dusty?

i have my k&n filter and outerwear in my stock airbox still but have it slightly modded i wouldnt get the filter to bolt right onto the carb if your gonna be going through any water or mud but the outerwear is waterproof just watch out and go slow through the water and you should be fine if you get a clamp on

you will have to re-jet, but why not get a pro-flow, it clamps on to the airbox, but u can run no-lid and get petter performance.

I did that with my 89 warrior, it caused more problems than it was worth, even after re-jetting and such it made the motor not run right, it always ran way hotter and bogged, yea i kno it sounds like i had it jetted wrong, but i played with every jet config. I could think of... but thats down at sealevel and below at Dumont dunes where i did all the jetitng at, if your runnin higher alt. you may have better luck, but id just go with an airbox mod or better filter with no lid...

I doubt you'll get better performance in the airbox than outside as a "pod" filter. But you will get quite a bit more better performance if you get a pro-design w/airbox lid off over stock. I recommend you only run a pod only if you ride mostly dunes
