have any of you guys with yfz's read the atvsport magazine, it says the yfz goes 61. Theres no way thats right, how fast have some of u guys gone?

I dunno thats not too far off a guy we rode with has one of those digital gages from Rocky Mountian and I was behind him in my shee 1/2 way through 5th and he was toped out at 66.4. It was running good too but it was stock. But still no pipe is gonna give you much more. Id say mid 60's.

 

Did he have a trailtech? i have one of those and i think they are pretty accurate.

 

im thinking of buying a yfz450 i been hearing alot of things about them ******* out in top end would a pipe jetting cam and air filter solve this problem and give it alot of power up top then i run flat out WOT alot so i need something up top

 

The yfz is a mx quad. If you wanna drag racing quad, I would recommend a banshee.

 

A stock yfz is almost as fast as a stock raptor (Top end). I watched these two bike drag from a standing start to top speed. The yfz is stronger off the line. The raptor caught the yfz and probably had about 1 mph advantage. They were both easily going over 70. The yfz does not have a slow top speed.

 

I guess that I feel its slow up top. Maybe my old bike was just alot faster on the big end.
