The YFZ is nothing like the banshee-it has low end along with the mid-range hit like my LT500. Why would you want a 4 stroke that has no low end? If you want a bike like the banshee then buy the banshee.

I have rode both and that fact is that as time goes by they are closing the gap. At least the feeling of power is closer.

A banshee has a feel all it's own that's why it has been unchanged for years.
It IS the bike for sand but that's about it in my opinion. I have one and will always own one for the sand.
There is nothing like that sudden HIGH RPM for flying out of steep sand holes or hills,,, BUT!! the YZF is a great bike for both world.. I live in Washington state were we have the worlds largest backyard and trails. Also we are close to Oregon dunes so that's an opinion from a rider who rides both terrains HARD! Also I'v been riding for about 40 years now..(Ok,,I'm gettting older but I'm still faster than most)

banshees aren't that fast.

I've beat many of them.

4 strokes still suck IMHO.

I have the exact formula needed to modify a Raptor so it will respond like a Banshee. Now folks, I am a skilled technician and do not suggest you try this without supervision.
1. Remove Raptor gas cap
2. While carefully holding gas cap above tank, have assistant push the Raptor out of the way.
3. With surgical precision, have assistant push a Yamaha Banshee underneath Raptor gas cap.
4. Lower gas cap to Banshee and tighten.

Voila!
(don't forget to wear safety goggles when performing this modification.
